Texas Country Bride |San Antonio Wedding Photographer|
Her wedding day is coming up and I can’t wait. I can’t wait to take a picture of her boots, her flowers, her special wedding location, and her cowboy hubby-to-be. Laurie is super sweet, super fun, and super awesome. Although she is a country girl at heart, for her bridal images, she wanted a little something green, prestine, floral, and beautiful. We were able to have a fabulous photoshoot at the exquisite Sonterra Country Club. We had fun catching beautiful glimpses of the sun as it glistened softly on this brides gorgeous skin. It is a secret what she will look like on her wedding day, so for today just a sweet glimpse of her beautiful eyes and skin. Simply a teaser for her hubby to be. The day will be grand and I can’t wait to capture the special-ness that is planned for your wedding day!
Thanks for having fun with me and my camera, Laurie. I love you and your wedding ideas!

Sweet Miss |San Antonio Family/Newborn Portrait Photographer |
It started with a simple phone call from Liza. She mentioned that the super sweet people in “Google-land” invited her to call me. I am so appreciative of my cyberspace colleagues. I am appreciative because I was able to meet sweet Liza, her witty hubby, and their precious daughter. The sweet little miss is only a few weeks old but is as alert as can be. Her parents are awesome and decorated her room so girlie, chic, and of course pink. After having a great breakfast, the sweet little miss was fast asleep for about 15 minutes and then, “Surprise, Mommy, I wanna see that lady with the big clicker thing (my camera). She played my little games of peek-a-boo, baby talk, and a few little snuggles here and there, a few “fig leaf” pics that are way to cute, and then was ready for cuddling with momma…again.
Liza is a first time mommy and one of the best I have ever seen. Even when the sweet little miss had a bout of unhappiness, she still managed to giggle at the uncertainty and coo along with baby until the little miss was satisified that mommy was by her side. I could only wish that I had been that calm with my little newborn some 7 years ago. All mommies could learn a thing or two from Mrs. Liza.
I had so much fun visiting with you… Little Miss, Your Mommy, and Your Daddy. You are one luck little thing who has some pretty awesome parents.
Congratulations on your little bundle of preciousness mommy and daddy….she is super sweet.

Clementine + Vince |San Antonio Wedding Photographer|
It is time. It was time. They are now married. After several years of being together, Clementine and Vincent decided that they would allow all friends and family to witness the bond of love they have with one another, witness this bond in the form of a wedding celebration.
It was near day one of their wedding planning that Clementine called me from her cell phone (nearly a year ago) and told me that someone had just shared my images, my business, and who I am as a person, with her, I am thankful that she felt it in her soul that I would be the one to capture the lovely images from the special day that she and Vince will share for the rest of their lives. After several months of enduring the wait and excitement for this special couple the day finally arrived. Clementine was nervous, very nervous. Right before she walked down the aisle, she asked me to get her dad for her. She just wanted to tell him that she loved him and that she was nervous. Her father reassured her that she was beautiful, happy, and could not wait to give her hand to the man she loved, Vincent.
Clementine and Vincent…as you continue to walk down the many aisles of life, I wish you both only the very best. You are both such special people and I am thankful that you included me in this first “official” special walk. Hugs to you both.

Wedding Photographer Saturday |San Antonio Wedding Photographer|
Saturday is my work day/fun day/creative day. When you are a wedding photographer, especially in the month of August, a Saturday is a busy day on your calendar. Usually I am giddy with excitement on a Friday date night with my hubby. Without fail I tell him for the zillionth time that I wish I could marry him again, he grins and tells me, “me too, honey”. He knows the deal, he knows the game, and he loves to play. But really…I really do want to marry him again, but I know at that moment, on a Friday night, I am saying that because I am already thinking about the happenings of tomorrow, a Saturday. A Saturday of (in no particular order) wedding vows, ring exchanges, high heels, lipstick, and kisses. I love brides, I loved being a bride. There is just somethng about that feeling of getting all fancied up, a little lip gloss, a few curlers, some painted toes, a splash of perfume, and a dash of camera….ummmm the making of a mighty fine recipe for beauty and fun.
Today is Saturday and I am off to do a super fab photoshoot with a good ole Texas Country Girl. I can call her this because she will be the first to admit that she loves cowboy boots, hats, old barns, dirt, and of course her cowboy whom she will marry in a few short weeks. Laurie is stepping out of her comfort zone of rustic scenery and going for the elegant and posh “Sonterra Country Club“. We will truck our way through their grand hallways, lush gardens, and glistening windows as we capture some images of her sweet bridal self. I’ve been talking with Laurie every single day for the last few days as we share our ideas and I can’t really decide who is more excited, she or I. The twilight hour of beautiful Texas sunlight is upon us and I am gonna go capture me some fun with sweet Laurie, south Texas sun, and my Nikon.
And because no post is fab without a picture…here is a wedding I am working on. Happy Saturday!

A Real Wedding |San Antonio Wedding Photographer|
It was late one night and my phone rang…it was Jillian’s mom. As luck would have it their previous photographer plans had not worked out as planned and they were in desperate need to find a photographer who could capture sweet memories and details of the special event. It is very rare, but does happen on occassion, that I have an opening on a weekend…for a wedding…on my calendar. This was not only their lucky day, but also mine. I was a lucky girl because I was able to document a love story with the click of my shutter. Jillian and Kevin have a love that is real and authentic. They are the type of wedding couple I love. I love it when the look they give each other is genuine, when their smile at each other is not something new, instead it is the ordinary, it is real, they are real. Jillian and Kevin thank you for including me and my camera on your special day, I am humbled.

Travel Through Time |San Antonio Newborn Photographer|
My camera is a time capsule. As I became serious about launching my business, Veronica, believed in me, my ambitions, and my ability to capture timeless images of her precious angel, so much that she entrusted me with capturing the moments that we as mom’s know is quickly gone. Her precious angel is now 1 year old. In what seems to be the blink of an eye, he has gone from a sleeping babe to a running toddler. I have photographed him from when he weighed less than a bag of flour and could literally fit in a wooden bowl (I know I have images of that day). I have had the opportunity to savor the moments that he looks into my lens and sometimes affords me a quick grin that is more than picture perfect. He is adorable. Everytime I see him I give him a snuggle and talk some baby talk to him…. but now my baby talk must cease and instead begin with cleaver conversations of Elmo, Captain Feathersword, and Sponge Bob.
Cheers to your sweet first year, little grown newborn. Thank you for taking me on this journey with you, it was good for my soul.

Jelly + Joshua |San Antonio Wedding Photographer|
She sent me an email asking if we could meet to discuss options for wedding photography. I love to talk to brides and listen to all of their fab details for the special day. I could not wait to meet Kelly. The three of us…Joshua who is very much in love with Kelly, Kelly who is smitten for Joshua, and myself who would love to capture images of this special couple. We talked about everything, so much more than taking pictures. The three of us instantly giggled, talked about favorites, and had a sweet drink of lemonade. They told me their dreams, their passions, and how their love unfolded. This super cute couple has someone or something special looking after them because their love affair has come together as only fate would have it. Their love story of how they knew he & she was the one will be a story that is told for years. Everything is working out perfectly for this couple and all I can say is that I am super excited to document their love story from engagement, to bridal, to wedding. Ahhhhhh….this is gonna be a sweet ride. Even long after the wedding dress is tucked away, Joshua and Kelly will continue to be in my heart, they are just that great!
Joshua & Jelly (she loves to provide this cute name as her signature)…thank you for allowing me to be part of such a special time in your life. To say you are both fun, is an understatement, you guys are funny, inventive, intense, and just plan ole awesome! You both rocked your engagement photoshoot as we trotted our way around San Antonio.
Hugs to you both!

New One…pure perfection |San Antonio Newborn Photographer|
A little bundle of joy he is. Ahhhh….that cute-ness only a newborn has. I was one lucky girl when his momma called me to document her growing belly, and his arrival. Oh, dear “Google Gods”…how will I ever thank you.
Matt and Heather, the proud parents of this gorgeous little man are parents extraordinaire. When I arrived at their home, they were getting ready to give the new bundle a bath. He did not like it very much. Either he was crying really loud or practicing to be the next heavy metal lead singer…hummm…. Mom and dad did not skip a beat with the little one, no fussy parents here. How I wish I had the patience and calmness 7 years ago when I had a little one of my own. After the little bundle was dried, diapered, and fed, he took to the newborn thing really well….. went right to sleep and did not budge with me, the picture lady…. moving him, covering him, folding him, tucking him, and snap…snap…snap…. a few lasting memories for this beautiful family.
Matt & Heather, thank you from the very bottom of my heart for including me in such a special time in your life. Your baby is gorgeous, and smells good too (yummy newborn smell)!

Mom did not realize I was snapping this one. She was waiting for me to adjust my do-dads...but I could not resist. One of my favs

Special story about this ring... it is Heather's wedding ring and is all about love and a love story. Ummm....love the mushy details :)
Amanda + Zach
Okay crazy life…it is time to slow down! Yes, the crazy multiple weddings per weekend wedding season is almost in its completion. But, a secret between you and I, is that I have loved the busy-ness that includes the glitz, glam, flash, and love! I swear I absolutely love every single bride, groom, and their special event. Even though I have been to several weddings, with each one, I still give it an awe and the ceremony always brings chills and a tear to my eye. Some may think this is weird, however, I see myself not only witnessing the event as a job, but the union of two new found friends that are about to embark on a wonderful life together.
I had never met Amanda in person. She called me one day and asked if I would be her wedding photographer. She is such a confident and brave soul. I very well could have been a weirdo. Weirdo or not, she said she loved my pictures (she saw some in print at a wedding venue in San Antonio and had a glance at my website) and would love for me to document memories for she and Zach. I feel like such a lucky girl to have stolen her eyes for my images only.
I finally got to meet Amanda during her bridal session. She is gorgeous (and so are her shoes from Nordstrom), funny, and real. I knew from the first time we met, we would click, and I would love documenting her special day. Congratulations on your new life as husband and wife, Zach and Amanda, you both are the best!
Zach was so calm on his wedding day. I had to whisper to both he and Amanda that they were both so “un-nervous”.

The bridesmaids in their beautiful avocado green gowns. This is one of my favorite colors for a wedding, wow!

Amanda’s bouquet of flowers complimented that shiny bling perfectly!
Zach is involved in construction and look at this wonderful cake his aunt made for him! It looks like a construction site with Tonka trucks, dirt (brown sugar), and rocks (colored candy).
Amanda, her father, and that cute little doggie (bow-tie and all)!

All in the details, baby!
